Jean-Marie Putz

A rather discreet nose, floral, sweetly scented with hints of citrus.
The palate is quite simple, with some acidity, and strangely without any woody influence that one would have expected from a whiskey of this age. An obvious lack of body. It looks like he's struggling to offer his full potential. Because of very discreet with the first sip, it evolves shyly towards more pleasant tastes. A shy whiskey?
The finish is the same, though long enough, but lacks much relief. Woody hints appear after a few minutes, to brighten this whiskey at first sight rather disappointing.
It certainly deserves a new tasting after a few days.
