Jean-Marie Putz

The nose presents a delicious complexity, allying floral and hay notes to fruity hints, discrete banana and a touch of vanilla. A very nice balance.
The palate is very oily and is characterised by the same balance as the nose was. More subtle than complex, the mouth develops notes where a very light bitterness mixes well to the malty smoothness.
The finish is rather long, still in the same tone as nose and mouth. Balance and subtlety.
A whisky who definitely must enjoy old Bunnahabhain lovers. The quality of this bottle reminds a bit the Auld Acquaintance which was distilled one year later, even if this is a bourbon while the Auld Acquaintance was a sherry matured whisky.
