Colour: old gold.
A very nice nose first marked by the green apple freshness. Nice varnish notes and obvious fruity notes. This first impression clearly freshness which develops quickly on quite woody notes with some pleasant bitterness. Nice complexity and an important contrast between mouth and nose, which was essentially fruity. Unripe walnut hints, a touch of chocolate replace gradually the green apple freshness from the first feeling.
The finish is exceptionally long and intense. The mouth notes are still present and just continue to develop. This whisky seems to be alive, as it continually presents other aspects all along the tasting.
