A nice fresh and dry peat pleasantly enhanced with some floral scents alongside hints of undergrowth and even of stable, so often associated with peat.
The first palate is very smooth chocolate with subtle slightly fruity notes . A nice balance between the various tastes perfectly characterizes this whisky. The taste is softer than the nose foreshadowed. Beautiful rich texture, lots of pleasure in the mouth. Not too complex but a real pleasure whisky
The final contrasts somewhat with the mouth as the first notes in the final is considerably fresher than the mouth was. The fruit seems to dominate for some very short moments, before returning to the comfortable notes of coffee or cocoa that characterized the mouth and nose.
A superb whisky, peaty at will without the domination of the peat being annoying for someone that can easily appreciate a peatless whisky.
