The nose is clearly marked by sherry with some malty notes on the background. Not so much more...
The first mouth is very dry and relatively woody, but this impression is covered by the overruling sherry which seems to save this whisky. No complexity. Just dominant bitterness.
The finish is just the logical continuation of this mouth, bitterness, dryness and wood.
Far from being essential for a whisky collection...
