A nice oily peat, touches of barbecue roasted meat, smoke and cold ash characterise the nose. Some nice additional sea spray hints coming above the wood fire scents made it very attractive for Islay whisky lovers.
In the palate, it behaves correctly too, with still that dominating peat and that heady smoke.
The finish is pleasantly lingering, still on peaty and smoky notes.
