The nose is remarkably smooth but with lots of character. The scent of white chocolate, a hint of hazelnut and a few discrete fruity notes form an extremely subtle whole. Then a hint of mint. After an additional moment, beautiful custard hints invade an already fully satisfied nose.
A superb first mouth. All the sweetness announced by the nose is at the rendezvous, and the palate is as least as complex as was the nose. Beautiful soft notes of cocoa, milk chocolate with very enjoyable fruity hints. Great balance. An unusual mouth.
Nice finish too. Long and warm, just as I like. Still the same soft chocolate notes. A grand finale after a gem in the palat. A slight sense of coconut, but really a hint.
The traces of coconut should have put me on the trace of a grain whisky ... At no time I suspected of dealing with something else than a single malt. Another proof that blind tasting is an excellent school of modesty. But what whisky ... Superb.
