The first nose is rather fresh and develops fast enough on unobtrusive peaty notes at first but which eventually supplant all fruity fragrance but without being very dominant. In short, a peaty nose full of nuances, and I am not really able to tell if it is great or if it is just characterized by a pathetic platitude. After a few minutes, notes of citrus point in the same range of nuance and subtlety.
The mouth is also very subtle and peat is present here too, remarkably incorporated into a rather complex whole where hints of smoke appear. The marine character of the whisky is pretty obvious.
The finish is relatively long, salt and still this subtle peat.
