Nice nose pleasantly marked by sherry and beautiful floral notes, followed by discrete medicinal touches quickly overruled by hints of coconut and honey. Pleasantly complex nose...
In the palate, a superb balance between sherry, slightly woody notes and ripe fruit. Obvious but not hindering presence of alcohol.
Nice lingering finish, still marked by sherry.
Very beautiful whisky.

Usually whisky colour does not appear in my tasting notes, but this one is so characteristic that it is worth mentioning it. Deep brown, no need to add any cola to get this tint. It reminds me some cough syrup from my childhood.
The nose is clearly marked by the sweetness of sherry, hints of vanilla, crème brûlée and other delicacies. Some fine wood appears too, surrounding the other tastes but without dominating them. A perfectly balanced nose.
The mouth is first marked by sweet-sour hints, nice contrasts between acid elements, citrus fruits (somewhere between lemon and grapefruit) and some fine woody notes. Chocolate touches. Taste developes further on malty notes, still surrounded by citrus and wood.
Finish seemed first rather short, or at least much more discrete than the mouth was, and the taste seems to fade quickly. However nice fragrances between wood and sherry come slowly back in the mouth , first discretely and after a while they perfectly cover the palate with nice memories of slightly peppered sherry which will remain there for some long minutes of pleasure.

An amazingly pleasant nose marked by both sherry and very interesting chocolate notes, a touch of cut grass, freshness and above all an extraordinary richness. Coffee notes appearing a bit later contrast cheerfully with the freshness described above.
The palate is dominated as well by sherry associated to very nice cocoa notes, and a touch of acidity is soon tempered by the smoothness of dominating malt. Really a superb whisky.
The finish is not outdone neither. A very light coffee after taste blends with the malty sweetness, some alcohol impression and the last sherry hints. This is a great whisky.
