Remarkable dark amber colour, nearly brown. The nose is exceptionally balanced, smooth, marked by nice sherry hints and discrete notes of very refined wood.
In the palate, just happiness! Sherry sweetness together with a light woody bitterness, the taste developing continuously from the one to the other, bright taste palette, complex and perfectly balanced. Some acid notes just enhance the impression of complexity.
The finish is long, and precisely on the same palette the mouth was, with this sherry taste which remains for long minutes in the palate

The nose is clearly marked by sherry and ... sherry. Some discrete woody hints enhance it a bit. This is a very pleasant nose, specially for those who like sherry.
The mouth is clearly more complex than the nose was. Nice fruity and chocolate notes. Even if sherry remains dominant, it leaves some room for other fragrances de develop. A light woody bitterness appears after a while.
The finish is unusually long. Paradoxically much more complex than mouth and nose were. If sherry presence is obvious, a lot of other hints appear here. For instance liquorice hints.
I did not taste many whiskies presenting a finish which is much richer than nose and mouth. This is a remarkable example proving it exists...
