A clear nose, marked by a nice maritim freshness, sea spray behind a veil of peaty smoke and nice fruity notes.
In the palate, a clear impression of something between peat and wood, with chocolate hints and the traditional medicinal notes of Laphroaig are present too. Very complex, from unripe walnut to the powerful sweetness of peaty malt.
A very nice finish too, lingering and warm, with spicy notes appearing minutes later. This version is clearly better than the preceding release.
