The nose is basically on roasted cereal and develops slowly on nutty notes and on quite an interesting woody impression. A slight tingling announces probably some high degree of alcohol. Some farmy hints, wet hay and a touch of animal smell. A relative freshness, somewhere between cut grass and citrus fruit tries to emerge behind this first impressions. A subtle peat combined with a sea sensation harmonises the whole.
The mouth is rather complex, mixing hints of leather with notes of too ripe oranges (quite rotten ones). A very nice whisky anyway, even if the alcohol impression is constantly present without being boring.
The warm finish is marked by hints of chocolate and leather before developing on nice malty and pleasant warm notes.

The nose is very subtle, complex and fruity (pear or peach) with discrete peated hints on the background.
In the palate, a very great mildness, despite its high degree of alcohol, a mix of ripe fruits, citrus on peated background, with very nice smoky touches. The impression of complex and refined smoothness is so great, that the nearly 60% of that marvelous bottle are immediately forgotten.
A very nice finish, lingering, fruity and marine at the time, passing successively through slightly acid citrus notes and dry hints of peat. Moving alternatively to salted and sugared notes.
