A remarkably fresh nose with hits of honey and flowers. Great smoothness with however some tingling. This nose announces some nice surprises in the palate.
The mouth is complex and very pleasant with notes of cut grass, flowers and ripe fruit with a light veil of smoke.
Very pleasant finish too, lingering and very perfumed.
After reading the precedent notes. it seems that time and aeration helped to make this aggressiveness disappear.
2008The floral nose is first rather discrete with however some tingling's due to the high percentage of alcohol. A drop of water helps opening the fragrances, and some pleasant honey and heather hints seem suddenly to stream through the mouth, with a kind of smoke screen on the background.
In the palate, the first impression is a dominating alcohol feeling, with a superb range of tastes, from a kind of bitterness (from grapefruit zest to unripe walnuts), an impression of dryness first, much more "coloured" after a while, and finishing on nice chocolate notes. But the alcohol percentage harms it definitely. Do not be afraid to add some more water.
The finish is lingering and develops between chocolate and some more bitter aromas (is it wood?)
