The nose offers a nice pretty vegetable fat peat, typical of this distillery located in Port Askaig. There is no doubt about the source of this whisky. A very pleasant nose although sometimes a bit monolithic, leaving little room for anything other than that pretty peat.
The first mouth is more aggressive than the nose implied. More complex too. Alcohol is very present and some acidity predominates, though leaving a beautiful place this mixture of peat and vegetal acidity.
A long, warm finish marked both by the typical peat and acid notes of the mouth.
