Color: Light gold
The nose is rich and varied. Fine peat conceals pretty fruity fragrance. The peat is gradually taking over, sharing the spotlight with some smoky notes. It also has a nice balance.
On the palate, the peat is clearly dominant from the start and leaves initially little room for other tastes. However after a few moments, notes of appear slightly burned pie bottom. Without being dramatic, this whisky is very nice and does not lack complexity while having a nice balance.
The finish is also marked by the overcooked pie bottom, with a nice touch of bitterness (walnuts). It is long and relatively cool.
