A very discreet nose first which ultimately emanate beautiful notes of dried fruit, followed by a subtle peat and a veil of smoke. Surprisingly no discomfort due to alcohol despite the higher rate. Another whisky that needs time to reveal itself, but after a few minutes of aeration, pleasant citrus notes appear.
This whisky is a not easy first, but if you have enough patience, a remarkable nose is offered.
The palate has a certain complexity centered around various peaty impressions, with some ripe fruit behind. Here too, no discomfort due to alcohol. Peat is discreet, not overwriting any other tastes. However, iwe feel a bit of deception ....
The finish is long and pleasant memories of peat continue to give pleasure for a few minutes.
