A strong smell of beer immediately appears and dominates the other smells like overripe fruit. With a little aeration, the nose becomes quite complex, adding to these notes of beer some subtle citrus notes. A very nice mix, but you have to give it time to prove itself and to appreciate it fully.
The first mouth is very fresh, marked by citrus (lemon, orange) and soon comes an addition of more bitter notes, starting from the cashews and evolving towards notes of gentian. A fully integrated alcohol. Complex and pleasant, the mouth is not less surprising because not being in line with the nose.
The finish is mainly marked by the pleasure of pleasantly bitter notes that sensed in the mouth.
Here's a surprising whisky, in line with the best drams of Wilson & Morgan. Three whisky in one, as the contrasts between the nose, mouth and the final are important.
