The nose is very expressive on vegetal notes combining mint and cut grass with nice spices, pepper, cloves, followed by a hint of honey. The nose is extremely engaging, with all the complexity we appreciate a good whisky. If the mouth is in the same vein, we are dealing here with a very great whisky.
In the mouth, we initially have a certain bitterness (gentian) and a strong presence of alcohol, which however, does not interfere with the tasting. This vegetal bitterness (no wood hinder here) is constantly evolving and vegetal notes from the nose unfold gradually. A beautiful texture and the pleasant freshness that contrasts with the bitter vegetal attack. Here's some nice work.
The finish is quite long and starts on the same tones as the mouth. A beautiful vegetal bitterness.
