Colour: Straw
A slightly medicinal smell initially which fades fairly quickly to make room for vegetal notes, combining floral scents of hay and grass clippings. Also some menthol. A very fresh nose anyway.
In the mouth, an evolution from discrete floral notes to a pronounced bitterness, but not unpleasant. This contrast gives a nice complexity, but at the expense of balance. A nice surprise anyway. This bitterness is more wooded than metal and gives a freshness to this unusual whisky.
The finish is distinctly bitter, long, hot, extending the impressions of the mouth
