A fairly complex nose, but which unfortunately emits odors that are not usually my favor. Very malty with hints of yeast ... Fortunately these hints of yeast fade fairly quickly. A nice contrast between the sweetness of the cereal and a discreet bitterness.
The first impression on the palate really contrasts with the nose. Gingerbread, fruit, and a real firework of tastes. The sweetness of the malt is always present and contributes significantly to the remarkable balance of this whisky.
The finish is long and very pleasant. A mixture of cereal and fruit prolongs the pleasure of the mouth.
After a rather disappointing nose, the mouth raises the standard of this outstanding whisky.
