Color: Gold
The first nose is marked by some tingling due to alcohol. After a few moments they give way to a mixture of sweet malt and citrus. A pretty complexity, especially when the first fruity notes appear after a few minutes.
A very nice entry on the palate, with a beautiful mix of malt and fruit. Very interesting contrasts between the different tastes which succeed one another.
The finish is long and in the same tones as the mouth.
A very nice whisky.
Colour: Straw
Fruit, much fruit ... smoke, wax, hints of cut grass, honey. A variety of odors occur almost immediately. Pretty nice complexity and balance. After a few minutes, the grass clippings mixed with the smell of polish seems to dominate and then it returns to the ripe fruit, the candied fruit.
Extremely promising.
On the palate the first impression is the presence of alcohol, but thankfully it fades very quickly. Here also a mixture of ripe fruit and ... waxing. As this can greatly be pleasing to the nose, this association is somewhat unpleasant for the taste. The fruity nose seems to have disappeared, and beside some notes of pure chocolate, mouth still is dominated by notes of polish. This mouth disappoints a bit after such a nose ...
The finish is quite long and chocolate dominate here. Thus, we see that the fruity notes disappeared reappear slightly.
