Colour: Dark Mahogany
The nose is marked by the sherry sweetness. Fruity notes make their way behind the mocha flavors that are often present in old sherry. Relatively complex, and without any aggression, the nose is very engaging.
The mouth is also very marked by sherry. Slightly back from the nose though. It loses in complexity. Notes of sherry, traces of chocolate and hints of mocha. A light fruity acidity is refreshing the palate at first, but all are standardized in a few moments. This whisky would have cheerfully endured few degrees higher, which would have prevented the slightly watery, indicating a lack of structure, turn out to be. Aside from the fact that the nose had prepared for us for something better, this whisky is really good.
The finish is long and warm, always marked by the same flavors of sherry.
