On the nose, especially peat. Some peppery notes appear then, quickly followed by some farmy notes . The nose seems relatively simple and does not suggest that we are faced with a great malt.
The mouth, for it is pleasant, however, is no surprise. A nice peaty Bowmore, free of all fragrance notes which have so long hampered the reputation of the distillery. In short, for lovers of peat, this is a perfect a whisky. The palate is more balanced and complex than the nose, a very good surprise.
The medium finish is perfectly in line with the mouth.
