A very pleasant nose marked by oily and generous peat. Some rather smooth citrus fruit hints on the background. Smells of marmalade or plum jam.
In the palate, a nice peat too, rich and pleasantly balanced mixes with slightly fruity and nicely bitter notes. Some spices in addition.
Nice finish, lingering and marked by both peat and touches of smoke.

A marvelous nose, smoky but with such a delicacy and however so powerful. A very nice peat with something more, specially pleasantly frangranced, with a slightly acid touch of citrus fruits and some spicy hints. Short, a very nice nose. In the palate, a great impression of hapiness, mixing smoke with citrus fruits, malt spices. A lingering and very interesting finish, where remains of what is described above come back and in addiction some very fine and discrete woody impression, which makes the whole even more attractive.

The nose is very subtle, mixing light peat hints to sea smells, but remaining rather fruity. This whisky does not have the powerful character of some others from the island, but is full of nuances and suability. In the palate, the complexity of this whisky is confirmed, with a taste going from sweet citrus fruits to malt, through a range of discrete spices. A very pleasant and long finish, where all the detected aromas are reviewed again.

Happiness begins from the very moment the glass reaches the nose. Lots of complex fragrances, combining peat and smoke to more acid hints announce a very great malt. This is clearly a great quality Caol Ila. The happiness continues in the mouth where an explosion of complex tastes make it a real feast. A long finish crowns the ensemble. A very good bottle, don't miss it.
