Colour: Old gold
The first nose is rather quickly followed by medicinal notes of barbecue, dry ash. Peat is present, though somewhat muted. The nose has a nice balance and is moderately complex.
The palate is immediately enjoyable, with nice contrast between the notes of smoke, some acid notes, spices and some citrus. It is not enough to give it complexity. A general feeling of weakness in the mouth seems to compensate with the final.
The finish is long and very pleasant. This whiskey seems to be in the final. Complex and balanced, the final offers us the pleasure we missed in the mouth, with sharp contrasts between citrus, smoke, a hint of peat.
