Piazzolla

Nose: Too quiet for my taste. Fresh. Chalky. A hint of fruit (peach, pastry corner) and sugar cane. A little spicy.
Palate: scorching hot, like the nose, aromatically frustrating. The first sip hard and does not tell much. The 2nd run better even if it does not tell much more ....
Finish: short and rather bitter.
Conclusion: A timid nose that gives way to a mouth too alcoholic. I am not at all convinced by this unbalanced malt for me.

Mars

Nose: Menthol, fresh fruit, wonderfuly melted.
After 3 weeks: The fruits are growing in intensity and are starting to be exotic. Appearance of rice aromas and apple pie.

Palate: Fresh and exotic fruits, mint. With a little water, aroma of peach.

Finale: mint, candied fruit, sweet with spices. Less spicy with water but also more light.

Comments: I love it a lot but the fruits are a little too much and increasingly balanced by the spices.

Jean-Michel

Colour: Pale straw.

Nose: Starts grassy, with a youngish fruitiness. White orchard fruits (mainly pears). Clean linen. Becomes wilder after a while, with a little ammonia and Hollander drops.

Mouth: Starts softer than on the nose, with some almond cream and a little lemon custard. As it grows bigger, hotter, oak notes grow bigger as well, mainly liquorice. Balance is on the edge.

Finish: Long, dry, and drying. Astringent.

Comment: This is quite clean teenage spirit. Flawless, but not very inspiring, I’m afraid.

Savoureur

appearance: Riesling
nose: medium intensity, fairly well integrated alcohol, light caramel, fruity, light sourness, malty
taste: medium intensity, bad integrated alcohol, anesthetic at the beginning, changes afterwards to spicy pepper, fruity, light sourness
finish: medium

Blackmalt

Color: white wine

The nose starts with a smell of wet dog. Quite original for a start. Rather spirity for now. And quite closed. But quite intriguing. Because I feel that there is substance else. Let's see whether it will unfold.
A wood fire extinguished by water jet whose heart is still burning, with a little fruit, yellow fruit I think, but I'm not convinced. And I do not have much more in the end ..
Damage. Yes, it smells very "new make". Pear (the fruit that I found at the beginning) and unflattering. Finally, it is not my thing.

Mouth and woody, a bit astringent. Spicy too .. I'm having the same remark as for the nose with this new make side. Damage.

Final as spicy as the mouth. A taste of beer (just foam). A slight malty taste with a drop of lemon.

Comment Not at all excited by the "too young side" of this whisky. Neither rich nor complex with aromas that I have not liked.

Dagde

Nose: nice fruity notes come first (apricot yoghurt). There are also the drier fragrances (malt, spices). It also has hints of pencil paper.

Palate: This is quite powerful on malt and chocolate. We keep the fruit touch but with a loss of smoothness (apricot lemon). Alcohol is strongly felt. Requires water although it is not sufficient to remove the impression of aggression.

Finale: Pretty good, although the bitterness is accentuated by the spices. The aftertaste is very flat.

Comment: A whisky without lots of charm whose alcoholic integration is very medium. The assembly is a little crooked and the final is not very pleasant. Far from being catastrophic but without much interest either.

The nose is strongly influenced by the wood with a hint of vanilla. Aeration makes it very pleasant when arriving profile spices, plum, hot sand. The balance is remarkable between the fruity sweetness, spice and vanilla. On the palate it is soft and strong on citrus spices. A very slight bitterness above a nice bitterness based on bitter orange peel. I also find smoked tea and flint. The final, good length, is a beautiful vanilla ice cream, that found in Marie Galante, with the lime zest, nutmeg, pepper, sugar cane and ends with a slow extinction spices.
Delicate and addictive whisky. I love it!

Dede

Color: White Wine

Nose: What strikes at first glance is an intense aroma of freshly cut green apple. Then mingled with a slightly acrid scent (light smoke?? It is almost imperceptible) and a subtle floral fragrance.

Palate: The attack is powerful, but also sweet, with a nice green bitterness (peach kernel) that makes me think of a refill sherry. The oily texture is pleasant and fruit (always green apple) lining the palate, with a friendly spicy tangy .

Finish: Long, with something sweet and vinous.

Conclusion: A powerful malt, not very complex, but pleasant to drink.

Canis_Lupus

Colour: Straw.
Nose: Nose first yellow fruits, exotic fruits. Peach syrup. Marzipan. Pistachio cream. Cool slightly pungent and slightly iodine, with a hint of acidity. Floral also.
Palate: Crisp, in line with the nose, with a little salt.
Finale: In the wake of the mouth, warm and moderately long.

Comment: A nice delicacy, a true dessert whisky. Very pleasant.

ALouis

Color: straw yellow
Nose: quite fine, floral, fruity, vanilla, spice and slightly herbaceous.
Palate: very quiet, there was sugar, cereals and some spice in the background.
Final average over the coconut

Corbuso

Colour: Straw
Nose: Light, very smooth, round and mellow. Not very expressive.
Taste: Soft, floral to very floral, slightly fragrant, with some rosewater, nice malty and slightly nutty flavours, with a hint of bitter smoke. The finish is medium, slightly dry and fragrant, floral to very floral, with malty and nutty aromas.
Impression: A nice malty and fresh, rather expressive whisky.

Flonews

Colour: pale gold

Nose: Quite light spice and fruit aromas with white flesh. Alcohol is very present. The water opens the nose on flowers, but retains a certain acidity. Fairly standard.

Mouth: Powerful, the spices and bitterness and some drought. Does not change with aeration. With water, the whole becomes much lighter and more flowing. It remains very traditional and predictable over time.

Final: short, fleeing

Mapi

Color: gold glitter

Nose: The first impression is floral, fresh and quite soft. Then we are faced with an interesting structure with an uninterrupted succession of sweetness and alcohol as strata placed one on the other. Notes orchard fruit, peach and apricot.

Palate: intense. Alcohol gives volume. The flavors are consistent with the sensations perceived on the nose fishing. Beautiful peacock tail construction: opening aromas.

Finish: Medium length ending on peach.
This whisky is mainly intersting to me for qualitie of its structure.

Wiski

Colour: Gold

Nose: The nose is juicy with notes of lemon. Develops rather sweet floral notes. Quite rural with water.

Taste: Quite contrast, much drier, the acidity of the lemon, or even perhaps a little iodized ... Much more expressive with a dash of water, especially iodine and spicier. The finish is long and very warm on its own notes. Drier.

RX21

Colour: Pale yellow
Nose: Yellow fruits(plums)apples. Creral, malt
Mouth: Peaches then prickling due to the alcohol
Finish: Short on the fruits

Roblanza

color: gold
nose: fresh fruitiness of apples and citrus, some almonds and vanilla.
taste: punchy fruitiness with some flowers and again citrus fruits and vanilla.

Jean-Marie Putz

Color: Gold
The nose is clearly very fresh. Notes of cut grass mingled with the scent of ripe fruit. No aggression, alcohol seems well integrated. After a few moments peppermint is added to the picture, giving the nose a nice complexity.
The mouth is quite different from the nose. Here the presence of alcohol is much more felt, at least initially. Freshness seems to have disappeared to make way for a curious mixture of bitterness and chocolate with hints of oak in the background.
The finish also contrasts with both the mouth and the nose. It is very long and warm, and woody notes seem to take it to give more complexity to a rather pleasant harmony.
84/1002011

Jmputz

Colour: Straw
A fresh and fruity nose, a bit of cut grass and accented by hints of honey and herbs.
The first mouth is very sweet and turns quickly to citrus acid and then back to more neutral notes, fruity.
These contrasts in the mouth reflect more a lack of balance than true complexity.
The finish is clearly on citrus, long andrelatively fresh.
84/1002013

Jbrice

Nose: A little peat initially that dissipates fairly quickly. Discreet floral and slightly fruity. Biscuit notes. A particular delicacy nose
Taste: Really a continuation of the nose. I feel like biting into a candy (yes but which one?). A lot of spices.
Finale: Saline and almost iodine. Spices emerge as quite

Comments: Makes me think of a Lowland malt high in a hogshead. Pretty special but interesting.
84/1002013

Singlemalt71

Nose: Fruity (apple/pear), young (fresh spirit), sweet, spicy and later on vanilla and grassy.
Taste: Acid, spicy, a little bit sweetness (liquorice) and some bitterness.
Finish: Long, spicy and again bitterness (influences of wood).

86/1002013

Malt1972

Colour: white wine
Nosing: clean and malty. Grassy with a touch of rubber. Later on citrus fruit and green apples. Some smoke as well.
Tasting: waxy and oily mouth feel. Peaty and citric to very citric. Slightly bitter. Maritime. Oaky.
Finish: quite long. Salty and peat. Oak again. Some mint.

Comment: not a very well balanced whisky in my view (too woody and citric), but enjoyable though.

Whiskywardrobe

“Looks like a great bourbon cask whisky. Nice dram”
This dram has a fino like color.

Nose (89): (5)more than average. honey, citrus, wood, vanilla, spices, flowers. Maybe 20 years old whisky?
Taste (90): powerful, oily. honey, citrus, floral, spices, vanilla, wood.
Finish (91): (5)longer than average. spices, honey, vanilla.

90/1002013

Jeep

Nose: Very discreet. Mineral, slightly alcoholic. Despite aeration, the whole remains quite austere with still a little yellow fruit.
Palate: Same here too. A little too much alcohol present. The set is austere chalk, pepper and citrus.
Finish: Rather long a refreshing minty.
Conclusion: Not convinced by the profile of this malt
