The first nose is quite aggressive, with this obvious alcohol betrayed by tingling. This first impression fades after a few moments to make room for an impressive smell made of fruit and wood. Presence of solvents, but obvious domination of this elegant fruity woody mixture. A perfect balance. Notes of hazelnut complete the picture.
The palate is very complex, traveling between the initial acid notes to some great nutty notes with a pleasant and noble bitterness. A perfect balance between the various components.
The finish is long and warm, and always this balance between wood, walnut and discreetly fruity notes.
A whisky to taste. Not really "easy drinkable" but exceptionally rich if you make the effort to appreciate it.
