A lovely freshness, a mixture of cut grass and ripe fruit, is the first impression of this discrete nose takes some time to open. Some discomfort due to tingling sensation disappears fortunately quite quickly and makes room for a subtle blend of ripe fruit and bitter sweet cashews. The nose remains discreet and is not notoriously complex.
The first palate is quite disconcerting. A mix of green fruit, acid notes quickly followed by a gentle bitterness before returning to the first notes of fruit. Then a slow evolution towards discrete notes of cocoa.
The finish length is medium . It is dominated by notes of cocoa.
This tasting was not done blindly.
This bottle does not leave a lasting impression, but it remains the best Aberfeldy I had the opportunity to drink.
