Colour: Light golden brown (natural).
Nose: Honey and beewax, combined with concentrated vanilla and whiffs of sweet pipe tobacco smoke. There is also whalenuts and later dried hay and straw stacked in a clean haybarn.
Taste: Much less sweet than the nose has promised. The alcohol pretty thick in the beginning, but all notes are easy to notice. More of the hay and straw, turkish whalenut halva with honey and sweet smoke, backed by crisp and clean malt. Beautiful young spirit in very dominant oak.
Finish: Medium long. Sweet and smoky with noticeable soft metallic coppery notes.
Conc.: A fine dram, young and very expressive. A great “Old Style” highlander with an very own character and style.
