Colour: Medium brite straw.
Nose: Colour: Medium brite straw.
Nose: Funny, strange and very expressive: Wet tire gum, rather chemical peat (wood preservative, terpentine) and a nice mix of green grass and herbs. Beautifully balanced between chemical and biological herbal notes. All that backed by soft brown sugar with solid barley.
Taste: Typical Highland Park: Perfectly balanced smoke, sea salt and rock sugar. Demanding and very busy but still also smooth. Dark chocolate with egg nog developing into
Finish: a crescendo of finest bitter herbs, playing with the sweet sugar notes for a good long while.
Conc.: A very fulfilling dram, very worth a try for every Highland Park friend (like me). Easily recognizeable as Highland Park but still standing on its very own feet.
