Ardbeg 54.2%, cask number 1375 from the year 1975. Voici le pedigree du dernier né de chez Ardbeg . Ca parrait alléchant mais attention il faudra débourser 399 £! Mais nul doute que les 522 bouteilles seront vendues avant noel!

Single Cask Christmas 2006

This year’s festive treat comes in the shape of a sweet and spicy single cask expression of Ardbeg at 54.2%. Drawn from cask number 1375 from the year 1975, it combines raisin chocolate, cherry cakes and garibaldi biscuits. Citrus notes of lemon rind mingle with gentle wood smoke and elderflower in the aroma, while sweet toffee apples, spicy nutmeg, delicious lemon cake and ripe blackberries tantalise the tastebuds. The finish is spicy and smoky with the sweetness of lime and a touch of black pepper. There are just 522 of these rare and smoky sweet bottles available at a price of £399 each including postage. So treat someone near and dear to you. (Or, as it’s Christmas, why not treat yourself?)
