Colour: Straw
A relatively fresh nose with hints of metal and some notes of yeast give me a first rather uninviting impression.
Then some timid peat appears.
The palate confirms the nose, alas ... Slightly acidic with hints of fruit and a mixture of flavors that gives it some complexity, but nothing spectacular. The whole gives an impression of imbalance, even if some nice notes of coffee seem to find a way.
The finish enhances somewhat the level of the bottle. First bitter, it slowly becomes much fresher, and that feeling of freshness lasts for many minutes.
This whisky not unpleasant, but certainly not essential.
