Another English speaker in the house :-)

Hello Jean-Michel, Raymond and everybody...
I'm new on the forum but my English is pretty good (well I'm an Ileach so obviously it's not perfect :D )... having lived in la belle France for 19 years my French ain't too bad either... I'll try to keep my big nose in both the English and the French forums to see what's going on!

To be honest I didn't know that you could have different nicknames... mine's Donald in both forums (makes it easy to remember )

I think we speak of two different forums.
This french forum of whisky-distilleries has an english section. I think it is that section you talk about as the english forum.
What i am talking about is a complete new english forum of whisky-distilleries that Jean-Marie created some months ago. In that forum i can't find you among the members. Here is the link: http://www.whisky-distilleries.info/Forum_EN/.
In that english forum you have to sign up for a seperate membership from this french forum.

Jean Marie pourquoi ne supprime-tu pas la version englaise de ce forum et ne laisse-tu pas seulement accès au forum anglais ?

Oh la raison est bien simple.
La version anglaise du forum est encore bien faiblarde. 10 messages par semaine contre 200 ici...
Je ne voudrais pas chasser nos illustres amis anglophones (je pense entre autres à Raymond) de ce forum actif et les envoyer dans le désert de l'autre version.
Et je trouve que nous devons laisser la possibilité à des anglophones de s'exprimer à l'occasion sur ce forum en Français. Maintenant le but n'est pas de systématiser l'usage de cette petite partie anglaise.
Si quelqu'un veut systématiquement s'exprimer en anglais, je l'inviterai à rejoindre l'autre forum. Mais il s'adressera automatiquement à d'autres personnes. Il y a une poignée de membres du forum Français qui est inscrite sur la version anglaise. Mais cela reste une poignée...
