Scotland: Whisky & Distilleries
Hans is a Dutch whisky lover who discovered single malt around 2009 after having had a passion for beer and wine. He was astonished by the great variety in styles and flavours in the world of single malt from day one.
He joined the International Whisky Society and follows many distillery websites and whisky webshops..
Hans is attending tasting events regularly and likes to share his passion with friends through home tasting sessions. At least 4 tasting sessions and 2 whisky festivals a year.
In 2012, he followed the Glenlivet Whiskyschool for 3 days.
His favourite style is peat and cask finishes. He likes the combination of balanced peat with sweetness of sherry or fresh bourbon oak. Sweet Fruit or raisin (balanced sherry) at cask strength is great.
His daily dram is Highland Park and his preferred distilleries are Glenlivet, Strathisla, Brora, Glenmorangie, Talisker, Lagavulin.

Whisky is an alcoholic drink. Let's prefer quality to quantity as the abuse of alcohol beverages can damage the health. Consuming alcoholic drinks during pregnancy, even in small quantities, can seriously affect the health of the child. Consumption of alcohol impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
