Let's go for No. 1 in one shot!

Very pale gold color, beautiful legs for a very heavy rum which seems oily and seems to be about 10 years old.

The nose is bursting with sunny and tropical fruits (pineapple, banana), spices (cloves, pepper) is very greedy with seductive notes of fresh almond, rancid. But also with character: a very nice smoky oak that gives light to all. Rest brings out smoke and spices

The attack is soft, creamy, fresh. spices, vanilla and always with the smoky note. the share of citrus fruit. always tip fresh (mint)

A rather long and final warming in the background smoked (toast) seen previously, slightly peppery and vanilla.

A very nice and complete rum recalling Barbados rum .

Colour: Gold

Nose: Intense on herbaceous and vegetal notes. Very fresh, with a hint of vanilla and mint. Spiced including ginger, white pepper and cloves, which brings a medicinal side. Unique.

Palate: Sweet, sweet spices on the nose and quite pointed. Notes of asphalt, tar, molasses. Develops on the lemon (sour and bitter), exotic fruits (pineapple, grapefruit) mature. Becomes iodized coastal, with scents of fishing port (mazoute. .. on Black Rock ...)

Finale: Smoky, iodized on leather and bitter lemon.

Color: Light gold
An original nose, combining amazing notes of mustard and spices, a little rubber. The whole gives a fairly freshand relatively complex nose . After some time, aeration reveals some subtle hints of cigar box. But it is the spices that clearly dominate.
The taste is sweet at first and then it slowly evolving towards enjoyable slightly spicy notes. We still have the same spicy freshness than on the nose, although it is much less exuberant. After a few moments notes of menthol are added.
The finish is fresh and spicy as were the mouth and nose.
A nice and original rum.

Nose: Very nice nose and without heaviness. Ripe banana, toffee, spices (pepper, ginger). A hint of smoke and hydrocarbons. A little acidity balances the sweetness.

Palate: The attack is dry and alcohol is present but more fruity than the nose does augured. Dried apricot, dried fruit and caramel, lots of spices, grilled meat. On the palate the acidity balances the sugar.

Finish: Long and sweet, the ripe banana and grilled meat.

Comment: a beautifully balanced and demonstrative rum.

appearance: yellow straw
nose: medium intensity, alcohol fairly well integrated, cough syrup, vanilla sugar, sawdust of noble wood, old grappa, profile 1/2 sweet, 1/2 spicy
taste: low intensity, well integrated alcohol, soft spices, green nuts, burned molasses, more spicy and bitter than on the nose
finish:short to medium

To the eye, this sample is not at all syrupy and is very clear. An amber rum, quite young in my opinion.

The first scent, I recognizes a hint of vanilla. Thereafter, you can feel herbs and even a hint of dried fruit.

The palate is aggressive but very brief. It is short and leaves absolutely no aftertaste. You recognize slightly the vanilla note from the nose.

Colour: gold.
Nose: softly sweet, with fruity notes of banana and pineapple, and whiffs of cinnamon and cloves. Then it gets more sugary, with notes of raisins, but also a hint of mint and just a little cigar box.
Taste: good attack, with the same fruity notes and a little oak. In mid-palate it's slightly drying, but soon the fruitiness is back, now more on peach and pear. Good balance, with well integrated alcohol and good length.

Dress: rather clear, straw ...
Nose: not very nice fade. Almond Nut.
Mouth too bland. light. A little ash.
Final short light not far from being cut too.

Not super fan, too light, too bad.

Colour: Light golden
Nose:First sweet raisins, some citrus notes, then dry bananas
Mouth:Very dry, cereals, plums, dry bananas again
Finish: a little bit bitter, spitting, not very complex

“Not my kind of rum. Lots of wood and spices with just a small bit of molasses”
This dram has a gold-like color.

Nose (79): (5)more than average. citrus, spices, floral, vanilla, tobacco. It doesn't taste like a rum.

Taste (80): powerful, oily. citrus, sweet, spices, tobacco, pepper, molasses.

Finish (78): (4)average. citrus, spices.

Colour: Pale gold.
Nose: Typical stuff, with lots of banana cream. Smells quite natural, with a rather obvious sugar cane fragrance. Something strangely dirty after a while. Briny. Hot butter with a pinch of salt.
Mouth: Once again, the spirit is rather banana-driven. Pretty simple and one-dimensional, but nicely balanced by the alcohol, some light tannins showing up after a while.
Finish: The "dirty" side of the spirit strikes back at the end, like a poorly dewatered rug, if you see what I mean. Too bad.
Comment: Pretty uncomplicated spirit, with a pleasant banana and sugar cane start, and a darker briny-dirty side.

Colour: middle Gold
Nose: quite strong, treacle, yellow fruits
Taste: hmm, little bit thin, little sweetness
Aftertaste: short-middle

(Remark: the original note given by this taster is 55. This is his first participation and he probably uses another scale than the standard one in the WDTS. To guarantee the coherence of the results, this quotation has been changed by the administrator)

Whisky is an alcoholic drink. Let's prefer quality to quantity as the abuse of alcohol beverages can damage the health. Consuming alcoholic drinks during pregnancy, even in small quantities, can seriously affect the health of the child. Consumption of alcohol impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
