“Great rum! I think it is a Zacapa, but if it is not I really have found something new and fantastic that I want!”
This dram has a tawny-like color.

Nose (88): (5)more than average. sugar cane, vanilla, toffee, spices, cinnamon. Quite nice. Aye, sir, quite nice nose.

Taste (90): powerful, oily. sugar cane, toffee, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon. Zacapa? If it is not, I have found a new rum to love...

Finish (89): (5)longer than average. sugar cane, caramel, vanilla.

The color is a beautiful coppery one with golden highlights, the liquid develops long legs on the sides of the glass.

The nose is delicate and complex: it develops a sweet smell of vanilla on the surface, oaky wood, and a bouquet of spices is considerably above, we can recognize the nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon and that a good portion of licorice. Everything smells of leather, tobacco.

The attack is soft and mellow, dried tobacco (note wooded), licorice. Vanilla appeared and spices (a hint of pepper on the end) take care to leave a warm touch in the mouth. Orange is also present in the mouth, such as the nose. a small chocolate side also pretty cool

The finish is moderately long, dry and warming but without burning the throat once more spices and dried fruits are the party. A pleasant taste is in the mouth, with the smoked something

after having drunk a mount gay (xo) later it looks like enough, but sweeter

Nose: first very flattering nose, vanilla, spicy, cinnamon, orange peel, ginger, caramelized sugar, sometimes exudes some common notes some grain whiskys.

Taste: vanilla, caramel custard, treacle, banana, apple (notes good calvados), malt, clove, floral, nutty, spicy, sweet, sweet

Final: soft, leaving an aftertaste of apple (calvados), a little short.

Eminently drinkable, well balanced and lightweight while, perhaps too much.

Nose: Sugar cane, light oak, mint, lemon. Powerful.

Taste: Sugar cane, fruits, mint.

Finale: Sugar cane, fruits well wall, spices, mint. Long.

Comments: Beautiful continuity of the aromas from the mouth to the final. Mint is present but lightly. This rum is powerful with an average complexity. It is pleasant and easy to drink.


Colour: old gold
Nose: interesting with a nice woody side (old waxed furniture) some notes of spice, a little nuts (almonds) and candied fruit
Palate: sweet and soft attack on the cane syrup, then the wood brings its structure and spices, its bitter notes of orange (peel) and nuts (walnuts, almonds), slight oil notes blend well with overall, the alcohol is well integrated, the finish is long and bitter with woody notes, a bit dry at the end.

A delicately spicy nose announces a pleasantly light discreet rum.
On the palate, this is actually the softness that takes over. Not a sweetness, but a smooth mixture of bitterness (nuts, spices) and vanilla, very pleasant.
The finish is nice, but a little short.

Nose: nice mix of varnish, glue and ripe banana. Superb balance. Elegant. Just a little too reserved to totally seduce me.
Beautiful silky mouth, sweet attack. Lacks a bit of aromatic density (combo wave of vanilla sugar and bananas).
Fairly short final
Conclusion: A balanced rum, without blemish, but lacking personality in my opinion.

Nose: Quite greedy with discrete candied orange covered with cocoa. There are also fresh notes (chlorophyll) and a fresh lemon that will gradually open.

Taste: Lemon is followed by a very sweet orange-chocolate blockade. The texture is slightly oily (almost aqueous). The mouth also has some spices (cinnamon mainly).

Final: This falls very quickly on tangy notes and remaining bittersweet chocolate.

Comment: A simple light rum that combines citrus and gourmand gently. It clearly lacks soul though there is no real false notes.

intense the caramel is sweet and delicious on vanilla. There is mint and almond paste, a little polish.
the caramel with a hint of mint and a little bitter with a tangy finish. It's pretty simple and easy to drink but lacks body in the mouth and finish is very short.

Colour: Deep copper.
Nose: Very little alcohol in this one, but far from being unpleasant. Actually, as close as you can get from an old suitable single grain: tinned pineapple, ripe banana, orange juice (well… processed orange juice, not freshly squeezed), and this typical hint of nail polish remover. And a dash of cocoa butter. Make it a Sherry matured Port Dundas.
Mouth: Slightly weak and sugary for my taste, but we’ll do with it. Now, I’m more disturbed by the strangely artificial notes (tangerine sweet?). Doesn’t taste very natural if you ask me, and nothing that makes me climb the walls.
Finish: Short and weak, like an over-diluted caramel topping.
Comment: The nose was nice, but the mouth was quite disappointing. A low end beverage that hardly deserves to be named rum.
