WDTS (Whisky-Distilleries Tasting sessions)
(Blind tastings)
Session 17

Français | English

Producers who have made this meeting possible are:

  • Wilson & Morgan who sent us 1 bottle
  • Malts of Scotland who sent us 1 bottle
  • Master of Malt who sent us 2 bottles
  • Whiskybase who sent us 1 bottle
  • One bottle has been offered by Mars, a participant to the WDTS (Glendronach Original)

The "winners" of this session are:
numero 1 Bunnahabhain Wilson & Morgan Thirty Eight 87
numero 2 Tormore Master of Malt 28 years 85
Numero 3 Springbank Master of Malt 19 years, cask #482 85
Coup de coeur Glendronach Official Original, 12 years 84

The winner of ths session (Bunnahabhain Thirty Eight) has been presented for the second time and got the same average points as the first
Coup de coeurThis rating "favorite" is awarded based on purchase intentions in relation to price. This bottle has 16 points during the session. This makes it a best buy in terms of value for money.
Then come Springbank 19 years from Master of Malt with 4 points, the Tormore form Master of Malt 2 points, and finally with 1 point, we have the Dailuaine form Whiskybase and the Highland Park from Malts of Scotland. Is the whisky definitely too expensive...? This is the first time that so little points are given in this ranking.

Whisky is an alcoholic drink. Let's prefer quality to quantity as the abuse of alcohol beverages can damage the health. Consuming alcoholic drinks during pregnancy, even in small quantities, can seriously affect the health of the child. Consumption of alcohol impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
