WDTS (Whisky-Distilleries Tasting sessions)
(Blind tastings)
Session 7

Français | English

Given the current success of WDTS, publications are cloae together but not alike...
Producers who have made ??this meeting possible are:

  • Les Caves de la Halle, Avallon who sent us 1 bottle (Jean Boyer, Le Puits à Whisky)
  • Master of Malt participating for the sixth time with 1 bottle
  • Wilson & Morgan who sent us 1 bottle
  • Malts of Scotland who sent us 1 bottles
  • Meadowside (The Maltman) takes part for the second time with one bottle.

Another session which has seen at the level of individual bottles sometimes significant variances of appreciation according to participants, but in the end all the bottles end up between 81 and 87 points. A magical effect of blind tastings? The leveling effect seems magical. This suggests that in any case the range of tastes is wide at the jury.
The "winners" of this session are:

numero 1 Bunnahabhain Wilson & Morgan Thirty Eight 87
numero 2 Ardmore Single Malts of Scotland 1992 87
Numero 3 Inchgower Malts of Scotland 1982, Bourbon Hoghshead 85
Coup de coeur Ardmore Single Malts of Scotland 1992

Coup de coeurthis dimension "favorite" is assigned according to purchase intentions compared to price. This bottle got 20 points during the session.
(folllowed by Bunnahabhain, Puits à Whisky with14 points, Balmenach with 7 points, Inchgower with 6 points, and Tomatin with 1 point)

Whisky is an alcoholic drink. Let's prefer quality to quantity as the abuse of alcohol beverages can damage the health. Consuming alcoholic drinks during pregnancy, even in small quantities, can seriously affect the health of the child. Consumption of alcohol impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
