A fruity but somehow medicinal nose (ether) which is reasonably fresh and very pleasant. Light hints of cake but the fruit remains dominating, from time to time... Quite difficult to describe, that nose. Not so much because of its complexity but because its changing character.
In the palate, this whisky is amazingly sweet while revealing an impression of quite paradoxical woody bitterness.
The finish perfectly prolongs the palate. Quit difficult to define whisky, but sure high quality whisky.
