The following answers reflect your judgment of the independent bottlers.
According to the answers, one may conclude that they are not considered as a coherent whole, as the opinion about them is greatly dependent on the individual qualities of individual bottlers.
A minority is franckly hostile to independent bottling, while another minority swears by them, but a broad consensus about the fact they have a major role to play in the whisky industry.

Another question, indirectly linked to the independent bottlers, concerned your favorite percentage of alcohol in a whisky. The link with the independent bottlers is to find in the fact they are the ones who began marketing cask strength editions, and to propose unchill filtered editions (it seems that 46% is ideal for this process)
