The nose is first rather discrete, with some notes of hay, but it developes quickly on clear peppery notes and gives a quite salty impresssion.
In the palate, a mix of pepper and wine vinegar, spices and acid hints, rather surprising, but sure not unpleasant.
The finish is slightly acid too. I
t is certainly not the best Bruichladdich I have had, but the very particular taste makes it an interesting bottle.

A nose clearly marked by the smoke and the peat and giving the impression to be near the seaside, with salt and seaweed... so typical from a Caol Ila.
In the palate, a very nice impression, where hints of oily peat are mixed with a kind of citrus acidity, which gives this whisky an unexpected freshness.
The alcohol impression is rather strong, much more than expected for a 46% whisky. Its just a pitty the finish is so short and discrete.

Anyway, an excellent bottle.

A very clear floral nose, (undergrowth flowers), discrete exotic fruit hints and a touch of sherry make a very interesting introduction fot this whisky which seems to be very nice and complex from the very first nosing.
In the palate, a very pleasant impression of sherry, mixed to clear but not boring woody hints. But finally the sherry keeps dominating the whole.
A nice finish, wel balanced and perfumed, going from walnut to liquorice. A lingering and warm finish.
An excellent surprise.
