Independent bottlers

The "Jean Boyer" company has been created in 1993. It is a small company, where 6 people are working. It was originally created to produce quality aniseed alcohols.
The managers of "Jean Boyer" have an 25 years old experience in the whisky world, and especially in malt whisky as they were amongst the first single malt importers in France as soon as 1975.
They were the founders than the managers until 2000 of the AUXIL company, who were the first distributors of Lagavulin and Springbank in the retailers and restaurants networks in France.
Jean Boyer is nowadays an independent bottler, selecting single malt casks imported from Scotland. The company tries to market high quality spirits, applying traditional techniques of the Cognac world to single malt, in order to maintain the smooth aspect and a lingering finish for the bottled whiskies.
The "Best casks of Scotland" range puts together some of this whiskies, which are not chill filtered nor coloured. The range includes malts aged in exceptional casks, "sherry casks", "first fill sherry casks" and "small barrels" - American oak casks. Others are matured in re-coopered hogsheads.
