La
société fut créée en 1936 et est l’une
des plus importantes entreprises familiales dans le monde du whisky.
Comme la plupart des embouteilleurs indépendants, la mise
en bouteille de single malt ne constitue qu’une petite partie
des activités. L’assemblage de whiskies constitue
l’activité principale.
Leonard Russel, fondateur de la société a toujours privilégié une
totale indépendance par rapport aux distilleries, et les malts embouteillés
par Ian McLeod doivent correspondre aux critères de la société.
Ceci ne les a pas empêchés d’acheter la distillerie Glengoyne
récemment...
“ Chieftain’s choice”, “Dhun Beaghan” et “McLeod’s
Single malt” et “As we got it” sont les collections de single
malt commercialisées par Ian Mc Leod.

Le whisky est un alcool fort, ne l'oublions pas. L'abus d'alcool peut gravement nuire à la santé. Sachons privilégier la qualité par rapport à la quantité. La consommation de boissons alcoolisées pendant la grossesse, même en faible quantité, peut avoir des conséquences graves pour la santé de l'enfant De même évitez de prendre le volant après avoir consommé du whisky.
