Glenugie Old Malt Cask
Personal Comment
A very fresh nose, with some discrete hints of hey and a touch of citrus, giving is a slight acid character. This malt is rather complex, mixing malted or woody notes to fruity touches in the palate. The finis is relatively short, and leaves a woody impression in the palate.

At the second tasting, the nose still had the same freshness, mix of hay and malt with some orange touches. The palate was first rather dry and quite bitter with nice malty hints and a touch of green apple; The finish is nice, rather shor, woody on a background of dry peat.

Colour: Straw
A fresh nose with notes of cut grass, a hint of bitterness, a few discreet notes of mint, spice and pepper announce a nice whisky. Let's hope that the mouth is as good as the nose.
After a first relatively acid impression, the papilla's hesitate between freshness and a certain bitterness, but overall it is significantly less interesting than the nose was. Nothing transcendent in any case ...
The finish is relatively short, and remains in the registry of fresh and slightly bitter impression, just like the mouth and nose.

The nose is very fresh with hints of hay, plum jam followed by nice malty notes. Quite a complex nose, announcing a very great pleasure.
The mouth is rather fresh too, at least at the beginning. Very soon a kind of metallic taste appears before developing on malty or even chocolate notes.
The finish is very original. It first tends to disappear but comes back to remain for long minutes. It contrasts with the nose as the freshness is replaced by warm malty notes.

Whisky is an alcoholic drink. Let's prefer quality to quantity as the abuse of alcohol beverages can damage the health. Consuming alcoholic drinks during pregnancy, even in small quantities, can seriously affect the health of the child. Consumption of alcohol impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
